gMoney Privacy Policy
Effective September 5, 2026
gMoney is a private financial-management application operated by Gordon van Gent for his own household. It has exactly two permitted users — the two members of that household — enforced by a sign-in allowlist. It is not a commercial product and has no customers, subscribers, or third-party users.
What we collect
Bank account transactions, balances, investment holdings, and loan details for the household's own financial accounts, retrieved through Plaid with the account owners' consent, plus the budgets, categorizations, notes, and bookkeeping records the users create themselves. Sign-in uses Google OAuth; we store only the signed-in email address. We never see or store bank credentials — those are handled entirely by Plaid and the financial institution.
How it's used
Solely for the household's own budgeting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. Data is never sold, rented, shared, or used for advertising — there is no one to share it with.
Where it lives
Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Neon) encrypted at rest, and served over TLS 1.2+ by Vercel. Administrative access is limited to the operator, protected by multi-factor authentication.
Retention and deletion
Data is retained while the household actively uses the application. Either user may correct or permanently delete any or all of their data at any time — directly, since the household owns and administers the database — or by written request to the operator. Disconnecting a financial institution revokes its Plaid access immediately.
